Everyone that continues to participate in the sport of Cowboy Mounted shooting will eventually end up with an incredibly well trained horse, excellent riding skills and superb hand-eye coordination. How quickly and painlessly you become a competent mounted shooter depends in a large part on how smart, athletic and broke your horse is.

Just like any other equestrian sport, mounted shooting requires a commitment to competent and responsible breeding, horse training and horsemanship. Whether you intend to just try the sport, shoot with a few friends for the fun of it or actively peruse a Championship title, there is a place for every rider in this sport. This page is here to help clear the path and find what you need.
